DesignX turns a description into real, makeable CAD. Functional car parts, accessories, and purely decorative objects all start the same way: describe the thing, and DesignX designs it. Naming a car is one way to give it context, not a requirement.

Parametric means real dimensions you can adjust, not a mesh sculpture: change a bolt spacing and the part updates around it. You get a model with numbers behind it, so it can be corrected instead of re-rolled.
Designs export as STL and STEP — files a 3D printer or a machine shop can actually use. The goal is objects that get made, not renders that live in a folder.
Tell DesignX which car it's for and dimensions can be grounded against it. Don't, and it still designs — a keychain does not need a chassis code. For anything that bolts to a car, the fitment questions come back.

No. Cars are what most people bring, and naming one lets DesignX ground dimensions against a real vehicle — but a design does not need a car to exist. Accessories and decorative objects are first-class.
No. You describe the object and its constraints, and DesignX generates the parametric model. If you do know CAD, the parametric output means you can refine dimensions instead of starting over.
STL and STEP — the formats 3D printers, CNC shops, and other CAD tools actually consume. The output is meant to be manufactured, not just admired.
Parts are dimension-driven: generated from the measurements and constraints you provide, and parametric, so they can be adjusted precisely. Anything that mounts to a vehicle should be checked before it carries load — a decorative object has no such requirement, and DesignX does not pretend otherwise. Parts referenced directly against scanned body geometry are on the roadmap.
